Why Windows and PPT skills matter

Efficiency: Knowing Windows and PowerPoint helps employees work more efficiently. Understanding Windows allows employees to navigate their computer, find files, and use various software applications more quickly. With PowerPoint, employees can create professional presentations in less time, making them more productive.

Communication: PowerPoint is an essential tool for presenting information clearly and effectively. Employees who are skilled in PowerPoint can create visually appealing presentations that communicate complex ideas in a way that’s easy for their audience to understand. This helps improve communication within the workplace.

Collaboration: Windows and PowerPoint both offer features that support teamwork and collaboration. With Windows, employees can share files and access shared network resources. PowerPoint allows multiple team members to work on the same presentation simultaneously, making it easier for teams to combine their expertise and create a polished final product.

These 3 skills are essential for success in today’s tech-focused workplace.

Pre-employment tests for job interviews

How these tests help

Our Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT) tests measure job applicants on the program’s most common uses. The tests cover everything from the basics to advanced skills and you can pick which level you want, based on the needs of your job. The questions require the user to perform the desired task in the simulated PPT presentation. The user answers questions using the toolbars, shortcut keys or menus, whichever method they know best, where applicable.

The tests are available in 365 (2019), 2016, and earlier versions. The test taker doesn’t need PPT installed on their computer. Our tests work in a regular web browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox).

Our Windows 10 test works in the same interactive way, with the user performing simulated Windows tasks on the screen.

Pre-employment tests for job applicants

Avoiding bias

Using pre-employment tests is one way to avoid bias in the hiring process. Bias can be conscious or unconscious and recruiters may not be aware that they have them.

Using research-based, validated pre-hire tests reduces bias that may come from work or educational experience.
